GUTTERPLUS 85 is a family business based on an idea in the early eighties by M Lambert (Proprietor). He and his brother Paul spent every weekend installing new rainwater systems for the North Staffs and South Cheshire public. The same old questions were asked of ourselves then, as they are today; Pensioners would ask, "do you do small jobs? " and we were always willing to oblige, after the job completion the Pensioners son or daughter etc. in there Range Rovers or similar would express gratitude for looking after their parents, and offer ourselves work on their property. And so on and so forth. This foundation helped to make Gutterplus 85 the force that it is today.

We now employ our own highly trained installation teams, who operate from South Manchester to the West Midlands, and we consider them as good (if not better) than anyone you will find in the country. Yes! That good, and we do not say that lightly. We have seen many so called "copy cat" companies come and go, in the last couple of decades trying to emulate our success.

We operate from two units one in Knutsford, which is also a "tool and equipment" hire company; the other is in Longport, Stoke on Trent. Both are also active DIY and Trade outlets.

Our two Surveyors M Lambert and Neil Lambert will only call by appointment and will advise you of your needs also listening to any input that you offer in obtaining exactly what your require, (no pressure). After presenting yourselves with a detailed quotation we hope to hear from you and if we are successful we will then offer you a date for the work to commence (no deposits) If OK we will show you what a good set-up we have. Our friendly installation team will arrive and deal with your installation successfully and in a professional manner. Once completed, they will leave the property clean and tidy removing all rubbish from the site. Then, only when you have checked the installation out and are entirely satisfied do we ask for payment.

After we receive payment Mrs C M Lambert and daughter Kelly (it is a family business) will send out your receipt and certificate of guarantee.

10 POINT CHECKS FOR PEACE OF MIND.

Our Companies experience advises that you (the customer) need to make the following checks before allowing any home improvement company on to your property…

THEY ARE AS FOLLOWS:
  1. Try to get a recommended company.
  2. If not, try and Telephone the Fair Trades or the Federation of Master Builders, to ask if they can advise anyone (see the Yellow pages for the telephone numbers).
  3. Only allow established companies to quote for the job (new companies may be a little cheaper but are unlikely to be able to stay in business through the winter periods and recessions). Due to the lack of funds and in-experience. Making your Guarantee worthless.
  4. Get around three quotes (any more and it starts to get confusing)
  5. Don’t repeat don’t buy from people knocking on your door. They may seem genuine and nice people, but you will almost certainly be disappointed; we know, as we have to go and correct these shoddy efforts which then become expensive.
  6. Try to obtain a "fair price", as bargains are difficult to come by.
  7. Insist that your quotation is detailed and clearly explained.
  8. Ask for references and telephone numbers of previous happy and satisfied customers.
  9. Make it clear that you will be checking the job over after the company has finished and left before you release payment. (Only pay when totally satisfied).
  10. Insist on a certificate of guarantee with your receipt.
